On March 11, we brought together students, developers, designers, companies, politicians, and organizations for the finale of the Disability Tech Denmark Hackathon – From Idea to Real Inclusion: Transforming Lives through Tech – where technology, design, and inclusion met to create solutions with real impact.
After several days of intense work, interdisciplinary teams presented their prototypes, developed in close collaboration with users, experts, and partners. The focus was on concrete challenges and real needs – with one goal: to develop inclusive technologies that improve everyday life for people with disabilities.
The finale event featured inspiring talks, pitches from hackathon teams, panel discussion, and networking with key players in technology, research, and the disability sector.

Welcome and Introduction (0:00:00): Opening remarks setting the stage for a day of innovation. By Disability Tech Denmark and AccessibleEU.
Keynote: From Idea to Real Inclusion (0:15:11): An inspiring talk about how technology can transform everyday life for people with disabilities, and why user involvement is key to meaningful innovation. By Edis Adilovic, blind entrepreneur, founder of EA Consulting & AI Innovation Specialist.
Panel Discussion: Breaking Down Barriers (0:37:12): Experts and stakeholders discuss the political, social, and technical structures needed to scale inclusive solutions. With Stinus Lindgreen (Member of the Danish Parliament, Radikale Venstre), Sebastian Slej (VP of Sales, Europe, Corti.ai), Nana-Margrethe Christensen (SUMH), moderated by Ingrid Haug (DTU Skylab).
Pitch session (1:11:12): Experience the energy as hackathon teams pitch the prototypes they developed over the weekend to a jury of experts in innovation, technology, and inclusion.
Award Ceremony (2:32:31): The session ends with feedback and evaluation based on innovation, impact, and inclusion, followed by the prize ceremony for the best ideas with prizes from Microsoft, DTU Skylab and TechBBQ.
