AccessibleEU is an initiative under the European Commission designed to strengthen efforts around digital accessibility and encourage more knowledge-sharing across Europe. The aim is to make it easier for both public and private organisations to understand and work with accessibility in practice.
I have been appointed as Denmark’s national expert and contribute knowledge and experience in digital accessibility, WCAG, EN 301 549, and EU legislation such as the Web Accessibility Directive (WAD) and the European Accessibility Act (EAA).
My work in AccessibleEU includes, among other things:
- Sharing knowledge about digital accessibility
- Hosting official AccessibleEU events and knowledge-sharing sessions in Denmark
- Taking part in other workshops, events, and European collaborations
- Dialogue with companies, organisations, and public authorities
- A focus on the practical implementation of accessibility in digital solutions
