About the conference
The rules of the game are changing in the tourism and culture sector.
Large hotel chains work systematically with accessibility as part of their brand and business strategy. Destinations use accessibility actively in their development and ESG efforts. Museums and attractions are discovering that hospitality in practice is also about clear communication, realistic descriptions, and staff who know how to help.
At the same time, studies show that up to 41% of Danes who have a disability or are relatives of someone with a disability opt out of experiences where accessibility is perceived as inadequate or not credible.
The question is therefore no longer whether you should work with accessibility – but how to do it wisely, credibly, and in a commercially sustainable way.
At this conference, we bring togetherAccessibleEU(European Commission) andaxs4allstakeholders from across the value chain and move from principles to practice. Among others, you will meet:
- Destinations that integrate accessibility into their development strategy
- International profiles showing how accessibility creates more business
- Cultural institutions working concretely with guest experiences for everyone
- Perspectives on the upcomingEU Disability Cardand new European frameworks
- Opportunity to network with decision-makers and practitioners from across the entire tourism value chain
The goal is not to showcase perfect solutions, but to make it easier to get started – and take the first steps.
Sign up here and go home with concrete examples, new perspectives, and ideas you can put into practice right away.

The event is part ofAccessibleEU– the European Commission’s initiative to strengthen accessibility and inclusion across the EU.
